2023 Senior High School Register Update
In this article, we present the list of senior high schools in the Greater Accra region that falls into category A, B, and C according to the recently updated 2021 schools’ register as released by the Ghana Education Service today 24th November 2021.
The 2021 released register also contains Public Technical and Vocational Second Cycle Schools categorized among the public SHS into Category A, B, and C.
Whereas category D is a list of all SHS with DAY options, and Category E contains a list of all Technical and Vocational programmes offered by SHTS and purely technical and vocational schools.
The List also includes whether it is a mixed or single-sex school and their status as a boarding or day school.
Other Important Updates Added for 2021
- One hundred and thirty-nine (139) TVETS institutions previously under various ministries have been added
- Appendix 1: contains Detailed Technical and Vocational Education and Training Service (TVETS) programmes
- Appendix 2: contains detailed subjects of the Technical Programmes in the Sec/Tech. institutions
- Appendix 3: contains Special Boarding Schools for the Sixth (6th) Choice
- Appendix 4: contains a list of Special Education Division (SPED) Schools

Special Boarding Schools for 6th Choice School
In the updated schools register for 2021, the GES has included a list of 120 senior high schools considered to have special boarding facilities among which you can select one for your 6th Choice as a boarding student.
