In this article, we select the best based on recent WASSCE performance among the boys' schools in Ghana.

1. St. James Seminary Senior High School

St. James Seminary Senior High School comes out on top this year. They have been able to maintain the top spot over the past five years. They topped last year's list with a whopping 98.80% of average passes over the past five years.

2. St. Francis Xavier Junior Seminary

St.James Senior High is followed closely by St. Francis Xavier Junior Seminary from the Upper West Region of Ghana. They have placed consistently in the top five schools for the last few years. They came up with an average pass rate of 94.97%.

3. Opoku Ware Senior High School

The third spot is taken by Opoku Ware Senior High School popularly known as "OWASS". The school leads the Ashanti Region cohort of top schools. They have scored an impressive 85.33% of average passes over the past five years.

4. Adisadel College

The famous 'zebra boys' came 4th on the list with an average percentage pass of 86.31% over the past five years. Adisadel College was ranked 10th out of the top 100 best high schools in Africa by Africa Almanac in 2003.

5. St. Peter's Senior High School

Popularly known as "PERSCO", St. Peter's SHS comes in 5th overall with an average pass of 84.81% over the past five years. They are arguably the best school in the Eastern Region.

6. St. Augustine's College

Another top school from the Central Region of Ghana, the boys in green placed 6th in the recent ranking with an average percentage of 83.06% over the past five years.

7. NOTRE DAME SEMINARY SNR. HIGH SCHOOL

The 7th spot is taken by NOTRE DAME SEMINARY SNR. HIGH SCHOOL. The school leads the Upper East Region cohort of top schools. They have scored an impressive 81.64% of average passes.

8. Presbyterian Boys Senior High School - LEGON

Popularly known as "PRESEC", Presbyterian Boys Senior High School comes in 8th overall with an average pass of 78.08%  over the past five years. They are arguably the best school in the NSMQ.

9. PREMPEH COLLEGE

PREMPEH COLLEGE comes in 9th overall in Boys' schools in Ghana with an average pass of 76.63%.  The School is located on Western By-Pass Rd, Kumasi. They Participated in the 2020 NSMQ.

10. POPE JOHN SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL

PREMPEH COLLEGE is followed closely by POPE JOHN SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL from the top 10 ranking boys' school in WASSCE 2020 in Ghana. They came up with an average pass rate of 75.83%
