B/R: Dormaa East DCE, Hon. Emmanuel Kofi Agyemang Presents PPEs To Wamnafo Schools

On Wednesday, 20th Jannuary, marking the tradition "my first day at school" ceremony, the District Chief Executive of Dormaa East District, Hon. Emmanuel Kofi Agyemang Presented personal protective equipment (PPEs) to the schools in one of the communities in the district, Wamnafo.

The event took place at Wamnafo D/A school comprising of dignitaries from the district education office, elders and teaching staff.

According to the DCE, "my first day at school" is customized to welcome new entrants or green horns into the formal education environment with presentations like books, pens, toffes and others but due to Covid-19 pandemic, the tune has changed.

He therefore welcomes all who have been in school whether new or old with PPEs that would help prevent spread and infection of the novel Covid-19 in the district.

Hon. Kofi Agyemang presented PPEs such as sanitizers, masks, soap and others that the teaching body and the pupils would use to help them from Covid-19 and other infections. 

He added, the fight is all and not only the government, therefore all should strictly observe the measures and protocols put in place as ordered by the president and other authorities.

Mr. Kofi Agyemang advised the teaching bodies to continue with their mandate as teachers in both classroom and outside to help achieve academic, moral and hygienic excellence largely.

Emphatically, he promised the government would provide more PPEs and other measures to help education processes accessible for all without hesitation in this Covid-19 pandemic.

To climax the mission call, the District Finance and Administrator of Ghana education service, Mr. Kwame Yeboah Asiamah on behalf of the District Education Director of Dormaa East, accepted the presentation and added notes of gratefulness.
