St Augustine’s school used to be an integral part of St. Augustine’s College, Cape Coast, which offered simultaneously two different courses namely the Secondary School course and the Teacher Training course. In 1957, the Catholic Church thought it wise to separate the two Schools. The Teacher Training section was transfered from Cape Coast to Bogoso which was later converted into a Secondary school.
