One may ask who is Dr. Elsie Kaufman. She is a Ghanaian academician and a biomedical engineer.

She is a product of Aburi Girls’ Senior High School and a senior lecturer of the University of Ghana (the First Head of Department of Biomedical Engineering). She holds a bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE).

A master of science in Engineering(MSE) and a PHD in Biomedical Engineering all from the University of Pennsylvania, USA.

Dr. Elsie Kaufman is popularly noted for being the quiz mistress for National Science and Math quiz. Before Kaufman started hosting NSMQ show in 2006, there were other mistress for the quiz such as MARIAN Ewurama Addy and Eureka Emefa Adomako.

She recently received the golden torch award in the 44th Annual National Society of Black Engineers Conference for 2018 INTERNATIONAL ACADEMIC LEADERSHIP.

Dr. Kaufman also won the University of Ghana best teacher for the sciences in 2009.
