Asanteman Senior High School
In the early part of the 1950’s due to the limited number of Secondary Schools in the Ashanti Region, boys and girls who wanted secondary education had to travel to the coastal regions of the country.
An association called Asante Youth Asssociation (AYA) in 1952 mooted the idea of establishing a Secondary School in the locality to reduce cost factors involved in seeking secondary education down south.
Members of AYA made up of young, energetic, bold and visionary men responded positively with the establishment of Asante Youth Association Day Secondary School in 1954.
Asanteman Senior High School runs as a day and boarding school, and a mixed-gender school.
Its current student population as of 2020 is around 3815 with school facilities including 4 Classroom Blocks, 1 Science Lab, 1 Library, 1 Computer Lab among a few others.
