Yaw Tog - SHS Rising Star Gets Over 1 Million Streams in 3 days
Yaw Tog is one of the youngest fastest rising star from Opoku Ware Senior High School. A final year student of OWASS is currently riding high on a tidal wave of international acclaim.
Yaw Tog became very popular on social media, when he made a great stride in his music career reaching over 1 million views for his music video on YouTube within the first three days of release.
The remix of the breakthrough song “Sore” which garnered a million streams features BET nominee -Kwesi Arthur and Ghanaian-British rapper Stormzy.
Yaw Tog reacted to his new feat on Twitter, saying: “A milli now #soreremix shouts to everyone supporting the movement all day.”
Many Ghanaians on twitter also bumped into celebration of the achievement of the young star.He is the first Ghanaian rapper to reach a million views within 3 days.
The captain of Aston Villa – Jack Grealish featured Yaw Tog’s "Sore" remix song in his latest video compilation posted on Instagram.
In the video reel, Grealish used the verse of UK rapper Stormzy who also featured on the Sore remix.

Yaw Tog is a fast rising Ghanaian musician from Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. He is 19-year old and a final year student of Opoku Ware Senior High School. He is best known for his 2020 track “Sore” which features colleagues O‘Kenneth, City Boy, Reggie, and Jay Bahd. Soon after its release, ‘Sore’ peaked at Number 1 on the Apple Music Ghana Top 100 chart.
He later made the remix of the song “Sore” featuring Stormzy and Kwesi Arthur on March 4 which went viral gaining thumbs up from some celebs on twitter like Vic Mensa, Michael Dapaah and others.
